New York City hosting the Winter Antiques Show

When planning your visit to New York City, tourist often overlook smaller venues for conventions and shows.  For example,  each winter, the most prestigious antiques show in America comes to the Park Avenue Armory, featuring “the best of the best,” from Roman antiquities to mid-century-modern items. Expect to see plenty of American, plus English, European and Asian fine wares and decorative arts.

This year, the show runs from January 20 – 29th.

For those of you not familiar with the Park Avenue Armory, it is located in  Manhattan’s prestigious Upper East Side neighborhood, steps from Central Park, The Frick Collection, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and a short walk from Grand Central Terminal.
